A small story in warm colour: a pale ladder leans against a cloud above a winding path, and beyond the hills a glowing sun turns the whole sky from violet to amber. Rolling hills, quiet trees and a thin ribbon of path lead the eye up to that ladder and the cloud waiting at the top.
Painted in rich Daniel Smith watercolours, the sky melts from soft violet into apricot and gold, while the hills sit in warm earthy browns and ochres. Fine white outlines pick out the ladder, the path and the trees, and the rough cotton paper gives every wash a gentle, natural texture. The piece is signed W. Antkowiak '26.
